YES. This is how collaboration should work.

One of our department’s primary goals is improving collaboration across interfaces in order to optimise workflows and results. Various measures to this end have already been defined within the framework of our culture development workshops. What sets us apart: our Research & Development Silicones department is located at our headquarters in Tübingen, while actual production of our silicone products is spread across three sites in Germany: Dußlingen (near Tübingen), Oyten (near Bremen) and Geretsried (near Munich).

Sharing ideas and providing assistance with no hassles.

I, too, have benefited from immediate, hassle-free support for an important project. When trying to solve a problem in our department that could not be modelled at laboratory scale, we were able to utilise a miniature version of the production facility that was found in our Dußlingen technology centre. Thanks to good dialogue between the people in our Dußlingen technology centre, the Oyten Process Assurance department and the Research & Development Silicones department, everything went smoothly: we were able to carry out important tests promptly and gain valuable information. I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank everyone involved – our colleagues did a great job! I hope that I will soon be able to offer even more examples for such exemplary cross-site collaboration.
